Rhythm Mastery with Bucket Drums!

Ages 9-15

What better way to feel the beat than to drum with other students? During each six-week course, bucket drum students will learn a piece that they will perform together at the end-of-quarter showcase. Students will learn how to read basic rhythms, practice stick coordination with call-and-response exercises, play rhythm games, and work together as a team to create a unified sound. Previous music experience is helpful, but definitely not required for this ensemble! Students should bring a folder and a pencil to each class so they can mark their music and write down which song sections they should practice each week.

Drumsticks will be provided for you.

Learn basic percussion techniques, rhythm reading, and coordination skills.
