Show off your favorite artistic creation(s)! Students may choose to present up to 5 fine art pieces they've made using any media: paintings, drawings, sculptures, jewelry, fiber arts, music... all art is welcome.
If desired, artists may choose one piece to present to the group orally. See PDF below for guidance. (Time limit 3 minutes, please).
Creating a name plate with the names of the artist & artwork, & displaying a written/typed paragraph or description of your piece is highly recommended.
Pieces will be displayed on tables and/or taped to the wall (if it's light and hangable with tape). Please pan accordingly for how your art will be seen/displayed.
Finally, those who wish to may also join in on our special challenge: A portrait contest! How to enter: Bring one portrait you’ve made (any medium, including photography) to enter in our portrait contest. Portraits will be displayed on a tabletop or taped to the wall if light/hangable with tape.
Does not need to be a self-portrait (but could be!)
All who wish to enter should understand that projects will be entered into a contest in which up to 3 prizes will be awarded in each category (1st, 2nd, 3rd). Prizes will be subjectively awarded based on attendees favorite projects. All portraits will be appreciated, but not all portraits will win the contest. :)
Attendees will vote anonymously for a favorite in each age bracket.
Portraits will be entered in 3 age brackets: 0-5 yrs / 6-9 yrs / 10-14 years
